Smad7 is a downstream effector of SIAH2. pCMV-SPORT6-SIAH2 vector was transfected into IEC-6 cells prior to TGF-β treatment. After 36 h transfection, total Smad7 protein was analyzed by immunoblotting. Over-expression of SIAH2 was confirmed by immunoblotting. Values are means ± SEM run in triplicates; letters indicate significant differences between treatment groups (P < 0.05)
